So what can you do if you have a big word to put into a Keynote presentation, but you don’t know how to turn your thought from dry and monotonous into lasting and excellent impression? Creating a compelling and creative Keynote presentation does not have to be time-consuming and challenging. 1. Choose the right template An excellent Keynote template will make your situation so much lighter! You can start at KeynoteTemplate.com; it offers many free themes and backgrounds for Apple Keynote. 2. Design. So you may have learned that white and black is the best choice for a particular presentation. Or maybe you discovered that you should divide your page into rectangles and squares. Whichever configuration you select, it must match your communication throughout; be consistent with the rest of the slides. You do not ordinarily require a very attractive layout; occasionally sharp and clear is going to serve much better because it will not cause confusions. A fabulous design display relevant data in an appealing and easy to follow way, whereas an intricate design alone won’t bring you 100% success. Holding these things in mind, note that if your result is unpleasant, perhaps you’re doing a little too much on the design. Bonus Tip: Persistence is key to your success. Always use the same layout design, colors, font and sizes everywhere. 3. Font (typography) Font choice is a dilemma for people who have little or no design knowledge. Don’t assume that all primary fonts are tiresome and that you need to get a more overwhelming and impressive one. Having new and decorative fonts may sound great, but it can be hard to understand your text. Don’t form a habit of using various font families. Once again, persistence is key. Make a selection of 2-3 fonts and stay with that through your entire presentation. Colors and contrast are your friends. I would even suggest applying a single font and just alter font sizes and styling. www.dafont.com and www.1001freefonts.com give many free fonts. 4. Font size Don’t use fonts or figures that are not clear to see from the back of the room. Many specialists suggest a font size no less than 28 points. When you go beneath 28, it indicates there are too many words on each slide. If the print is too small to read, your audience will grow annoyed at being required to achieve the unachievable. Nor does it help when the presenter speaks things like, “As you can see …” or “You most likely will not be able to see this.” The only time you can use a small font is when you are creating a Keynote presentation which you are not going to give live. 5. Color The colors you pick are crucial. Make sure the colors combine correctly. A poor adoption of colors can break or wreck a well-prepared delivering. If you don't recognize which colors harmonize best, use free online tools like – Color Schemes Generator or Adobe Color Themes. Bonus Tip: using no more than 3-4 original colors everywhere in the presentation is usually the safest option. 6. Images Images are crucial. Try to find images that will communicate a complicated idea in a simplistic fashion. Nevertheless, know that even with spectacular pictures, you need great text too. Don’t be scared to present large, beautiful pictures. Use stock images willingly, and focus on where your image is placed on your slides. People make this error every day – they put text on top of the images, and that makes it painful to read details on the screen. Photographs are essential to any presentation. Your audience has ears and eyes, but they will be more involved in viewing at whatever you are talking about, and a beautiful image can assist them to grasp your idea much better. Here are couple my all-time favorites: Pixabay and Free images. 7. Rule of Three. Take a glimpse at Apple presentations presenter Steve Jobs; he consistently built it around the “Rule of Three.” Select three thoughts you wish to present and carry out only those. 8. Keep It Straight and Simple. „If you can’t describe it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” – Albert Einstein If you are given only 60 seconds to act, what information will you present during this short session? Everybody has a weakness of inserting too much data on slides. That is a big blunder since you never want your audience reading through your slides. Make them focus on you, not on the slide. Aside from design, these are good presentation tactics. Drowning your slides with every little thing will make your thoughts weak. Why not just throw everyone the slides instead of performing if you‘re going to put every word on every slide?
